Freelancing does not require any qualifications - this includes most activities such as business, services, IT or marketing. Craft trades require an apprenticeship or experience (e.g. bricklaying, hairdressing). Associated trades require specific training or qualifications (e.g. accountancy, driving school).
Yes, you can be self-employed and employed. In this case, it is a secondary activity and you pay lower social security and health insurance contributions. You don't have to inform your employer about the business, unless it's in your employment contract.
You can cancel your trade by notifying the Trade Licensing Office of the termination of your trade. You then need to deregister from the health insurance and social security administration and file a tax return. We will also be happy to help you with the termination of your trade.
