To obtain an EORI number, you need a valid ID card or passport, an ID number and VAT number, an extract from the commercial register (for legal entities) and access to the data box. If you do not have a data box, we can help you set one up.
You need an EORI number for all customs operations - importing goods from outside the EU (China, USA, UK after Brexit), exporting to third countries, customs declarations and communication with customs authorities. No shipment can be cleared without an EORI.
The Czech EORI number has the format CZ + VAT number (e.g. CZ12345678). For natural persons without an ID number, the birth number is used. The EORI is valid throughout the EU and serves to uniquely identify the economic operator.
Yes, an EORI number issued in any EU Member State is valid throughout the European Union. So you only need one EORI number for customs clearance in all EU countries.
